During the 1600s, Huseby Bruk had the exclusive right to operate ironworks in Småland. The bog-iron ore from the lakes Åsnen and Salen was turned into solid commodities such as cannons and fireplaces. Iron goods were shipped further out in Europe via the seaways.
Princes. Admirals. Counts and countesses. There have been many owners and intrigues surrounding the estate throughout the hundreds of years that have passed. The surroundings breathe history. The buildings speak their own language – each with period-specific details and their own destiny.
In Småland, nothing is taken for granted and thriftiness and using what nature has to offer parsimoniously is still deeply rooted in our way of thinking. Through Fabrikant, we continue the legacy by producing sustainable steel products made to last using great professional skills.
Fabrikant’s products live on as long as there are stories to tell.
